A co-worker asked me a question that she heard on the radio this morning.
'If you had your choice of aging from the neck up versus aging from the neck down...which would you chose?'
My answer was aging from the neck down. During the early stages of Alzheimer's, I seen my grandmother struggle with the things she knew. I could see it in her eyes that she knew something was missing or wrong but she could not put her finger on it. She was angry, depressed and frustrated a lot. Once she didnt have that awareness, it was a lot easier (sad to say) but it was hell up until that time.
