Its Monday and its time for my pic heavy post. Taking pictures is part of my relaxation, easy, calm mode. My addiction of choice, if you will….I shouldn’t say that…addictions are no laughing matter except…I aint joking….
Went to a gospel concert on Sunday which was needed so VERY much. I have been getting that feeling of…things not being exactly right in my gut and eventually I knew realized this was what I had been missing. I grew up (like you’ve heard time and time again from others) in the church where we had to go almost every day for some reason or another. My grandfather was a deacon. He was also a Mason. My grandmother did everything else. You name it and Jackie (grandmother) was it. Choir. Secretary. Cook. Clean. So even if we weren’t there for actual church…we were there. But…I also grew up around a lot drinking, gambling, and ummm extramarital THINGS but I digress….
Anyway…I’ve been noticing that lost, gut ache feeling for awhile now so when I heard about the concert I jumped at the chance to go and take the boys. The boys are always open to something to do so it didn’t take too much pushing and they were ready to go. So for about a week we’ve been getting ready and in turn, my parents wanted to go and then my sisters decided to go. Now…with all that spirituality flowing among us… you KNOW what happened…Satan reared His ugly head.

In a nutshell, my parents got a flat tire, my sister needed a car, Kerry and Okoye got into a HUGE argument and the other sister had a relapse (addiction) but we still STILL made it. All of us. And it was…such a blessing….

Love the Hibiscus. We have them all over the yard. Also like the black and white photos.
Isn't it terrible that something goes wrong when you expect to have a good time? Flat tires are the worst, but then so are the other things you mentioned, too. Hope everyone's back in good moods again.
