I have odd things happen to me a lot. By people I know and by people I don’t know. Most times, since this happens a lot, I brush it off when it does happen but I just had the sweetest moment…

I was in the restroom with my supervisor and she asked how this weekend was. I told her but somehow we got to talking about one of my aunts who has been sick…very sick lately. I was not crying nor was my tone any different than a normal conversation but it is something that has been on my heart lately. There was another lady in the restroom but as she walked by me on her way out, she looked at me. Not just a glance but LOOKED at me. She had walked completely by me when she stopped and turned around. Once again, she stared and said ‘I am so sorry that you are going through this’. I thanked her, told her that was very very kind of her and on the outside…yeah….I was normal but inside it did ‘rattle’ me…

My supervisor stood there for a minute, slack jaw and all and I kept right on talking. Finally she said ‘you don’t know her, do you?’ I told her no and she just shook her head and chuckled.

Random acts of kindness and sweet caring are ALWAYS good. Pass them around…
