Have you ever heard of Oktoberfest?? Shells and I were wondering why this year’s events were being celebrated in September this year so we asked a lady who takes part in the festivities every year. She said that its always in September but she didn’t know why exactly so I looked it up….if your interested here’s an explanation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oktoberfest . No, I’m not German but I love the food, the walking through the streets and my boys love to go and have their pictures taken with the cars.

Okoye’s girlfriends aunt owns a restaurant. For Homecoming, she wanted to reserve a table for them. To come and have dinner. White tablecloths. Candlelight. I’m like wtf???? I agreed to let him go to the Homecoming Dance, I didn’t know I was allowing him to become a super mackdaddy with the assistance of his girlfriends family?! Urgh….

I’m helping my mom organize her photos…this is huge, trust me. For years, she has kept her photo’s in the sticky back photo albums (gasp!!!! A photographer/scrapbooker night mare) or she keeps them in huge bags. I’ve been ‘borrowing’ quite a few of them to scan and save to my computer. So many memories….fun childhood memories. I’m trying to blog about them but what words can be used to describe bad taste in clothing but hilarious fun filled moments.

Yesterday, Jalil and I went to go pick Okoye up from conditioning class and on the way home the song Forever by Chris Brown came on…the song reminds me of older music like Xanadu or something…something you would rollerskate to…not rollerBLADE but skate too…I was singing along, had the windows down, wind blowing, sun shinning really enjoying life and then I heard my sons singing right along with me. My first vision was that of the single guys from Saturday Night Live, bopping their heads to some 80’s music but then it was such a warm feeling…we weren’t screaming the tunes, being silly but…just singing in harmony. Love those kinds of moments.

lol @ mack daddy!
her family is just paving the way for him to get the panties :)
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT'S IN MY HEAD!!!!!
Out blog hopping and found you. Just love the comment "music you could rollerSKATE to" I know exactly what you mean!
My mom is better about organizing her photos than I am. Of course I take thousands more than she does. What I'd like to do is scan in all the old photos my grandmother had. Just to archive them. THEN actually do something with them.
I have no CLUE what I'm going to do with all these pictures....Kacey...I'm telling you HALF the people in pictures I had no clue who they were (they are old pictures)but once I knew who they were, I wanted the pictures so now I have to list who all is in the picture. Double work. But I love it.
