When someone nearly hits me in the crosswalk coming into work does that mean its going to be a bad day??

Can you hear that? Listen closely….do you know what that is? Yep yep…its silence. Or, most importantly the lack of balls dribbling down court, fans cheering or booing or the announcer….announcing…

We have been without basketball for about 2 weeks now and we are enjoying each other again…lazy nights popping popcorn, catching up on TV shows, and watching movies that we’ve bought and not watched yet. OH MY…have you seen the movie My Sister’s Keeper??? We watched it last night and I cried during the whole movie. Not just a tear here and there…I’m talking tears rolling, breath catching, silent sobs. When the daughter holds and comforts the mother….I lost it.

I’ve been cooking more….which is funny since you would think that I would feel like cooking more during the winter but since we are home and not on the go…I don’t feel right ordering out or saying ‘hey mama’s tired, you are on your own’ . Well at least not ALL the time

:-)

Spring is on us. Driving into our neighborhood last night , I noticed more of a green tinge instead of the yellowish brown colors that have been in yards. It’s coming folks…IT.IS. COMING! And with that I already feel the fever too be outside in it. I’ve got flowers peeping out of the ground. Birds are up with me and sing me a song as I let Miyagi out to go to the bathroom. The sun is starting to rise when I get up in the morning and when I leave for work, there is no more darkness. YEAH! Soon as I get home, I walk Miyagi. I hadn’t noticed how it has become a habit until yesterday, soon as I walked in, he went to the front door, nudged the leash with his nose and sat down. He knows the deal….he knows what time it is. When we walk on our trail, he always goes at a tiptoeing pace…almost like a dance. His head is thrown back, ‘grinning’, enjoying himself. He can feel it too….mama’s getting back into the grove.

Get into your groove today… and ENJOY it!

What a fresh, inspiring post Jakki!! Spring just gives us that extra "push" and joy..even our animals feel it.

And I hear you on cooking when sports season is over. Hockey ended for us on Tuesday night and soccer won't start until April so there's less "rushing out the door" at the moment..though I'll admit, there will still be some nights of "mama's too tired.." :)
