Missouri State Capital...this is why I
am late in the mornings for work...taking photo's....

We’ll it is official…it is spring. And the beginning of our tornado season. This week a couple local fire departments started off with a couple ‘Storm Watcher’ classes and brief little factoids on the difference between tornado watches and tornado warnings on our local tv stations. Yep…Mother Nature has ran screaming and acting a fool into one of her other personalities, better known as Spring, by having a pretty good storm yesterday and into last night. Lighting, winds and rain which made Miyagi act a complete fool and Ducky just hunkered down like ‘we’ve been through this before…settle your azz down…..’ I do believe Ducky rolled his eyes at him a time or two….

I got home yesterday and I don’t know but the sunshine must have hurried the grass up…my backyard is almost green! Muddy but green. Last year we put in a paver pathway because when Miyagi would run back and forth along the fence line, he totally killed the grass. Well, now he’s moved to another side of the fence line and started tearing that side up. I’m back to scouring HGTV.com for ideas’ on what to do about it. I gotta have grass so I do not want pathway’s everywhere. Miyagi, although he is an inside pet, he does have to go outside to potty and play so keeping him locked up is not an option ( I have a neighbor that has a Rottweiler and he lets his dog outside but keeps him locked up in a cage when he’s out in his fenced in yard. He said that was his answer to him ruining the grass and I just can’t do that.).

I have several plants coming up my yard. Or I should say I several plants of the same type of plant coming up. I cant think of the name of it but it was from my grandmothers yard from years yars ago. She had it when I was little and when I had to have the house bull dozed down I pulled up several of the plants and replanted them in my yard. Hopefully we wont have a freeze (which CAN happen in March…Missouri weather…gotta love it) but if we do I will just put blankets over them.

And then there’s Big Bertha…my love, my sweetheart, the main reason I picked this house… I have to cut her down in the next few weeks and I’m not liking it at all. Who knew you could fall in love with a tree?

Stay blessed!
