but...i noticed i have a new visitor. i noticed this little creature...hanging onto the stalk of my gladiolus plants.....
is it coming or going??? you know...is he building his cocoon to become something beautiful or is he shedding his cocoon to move onto bigger and brighter things? it made me think of the story of the man who tried to 'help' a butterfly by forcibly taking the butterfly out of the cocoon before it was ready...
lately...i kind of feel like that butterfly...

Eww! That is not a butterfly in waiting. It looks like a bagworm and they can be bad news. Nothing like you, I'm sure.

The next day Theresa, when I went to work it was already gone...which I thought was strange. I thought it would be there for awhile so I looked on online...(the internet CAN be used for more than having fun :-) )and found that I probably had more of some sort of insect/bug larvea cocoon and not the beautiful butterfly I wanted... not what I wanted....
