This is Big Bertha....she is the main reason why I wanted my home. I kid you not. She was planted in just the right place to provide privacy for the front of my house. I love sunlight and very seldom close my blinds so she provided enough coverage of my windows that I could leave them open and no one could see into my house. I loved that.
Big Bertha is a conversation piece for the whole neighborhood. She's 80+ feet. Neighbors stop to look at her, even. Well, now Big Bertha... Big Bertha is no longer alive. Not only do neighbors stop to look at her...contractors would stop by and give us estimates. If we werent home, they'd leave us cards with estimates. See..she has no bark. She has no leaves. and slowly but surely...she loses a branch ever so often. The neighbors arent to happy about that either.
So with the season of bad wind storms and tornadoes upon ( Prayers going up to people in the Dallas/Ft Worth area's in Texas)...I had to do something about it.
I never realized how attached to this tree I could be.
Enough that I would request to have a log saved.
Everything is changing on me. Is it childish for me to want to stomp my feet and yell "STOP IT!I DONT WANNA CHANGE!!!' ????
