Oh my Gawd. I have a new favorite show. The Biggest Loser. This show has just… like… hypnotized me. I watched the first show on the computer. Cant remember WHY I searched it out, HAD to do something with weight loss/motivation or something but anyway, the first show had me. Last night it was on and I was a bawling stair climbing fiend. I’d cry during the show and then be so freakin’ motivated to exercise, I’d climb my stairs during the commercials…(nope, no DVR in this tight budget household).

The show has two trainers. They play the roles of good trainer bad trainer. One is strong but very supportive. The other is you worst nightmare. One is a female and the other a male. On the opening show, the bad trainer told a man that he was going to be his/her b*tch during the show. One gets in your face and yells that he/she does not want to hear any b*tching and crying about home and how they cant do anymore while the good trainer does yell that you can do it but he/she will walk up to you after yelling at you and rub your back. Can you guess which is the female and which is the male? Well, the female is the bad trainer. I understand that having a support system is great, sometimes completely necessary but I wish WISH someone would get in my face yelling like that. Well see how that works for everyone involved.

Last night’s show, although it did exhibit the ONE dreaded thing I hate about reality shows ( where the contestants are shocked when someone plays the freakin’ game) I overlooked it when a team gave up their chance to win and stay in the camp so that someone that really needed to stay for the support, could. I bawled and bawled. I cried so hard I had a headache. The team that got to stay had a girl on it that, on the first show, she weighed in at 479 pounds and from what I gather it was the highest weigh in that they’ve had on the show. That alone would break a lot of women’s resolve right there. That whole stigma would have done most women in. But because of that, the other contestants knew she had to stay on the show for as long as possible so that she could get as much help as possible. We need that in BASIC REGULAR society as a whole.

BUT in watching other people getting screamed at to push through the pain and complete something...I got a little clarity on Ms Jakki and how Ms. Jakki works. Ms Jakki (why am I talking in 3rd person) does not push through exercise pain. Once it starts hurting or once, heaven forbid, I start aching or sweating, whewwwwwwww...I'm done. I did it the first commercial break as I went up and down my stairs. Once I got that ache in my thighs, I went ahead and sat back down to wait for the show to start. Now c'mon people. Commerical breaks are a minute and a half, TOPS. I think its okay to push it a little harder for 30 more seconds. So I did. And talk about an adrenaline rush....I loved it.

If you can, check the show out.
