i hope being 15 is everything you hope, dream and pray it will be. i have my own hopes...my own dreams...and my own prayers for you. i hope you have so much happiness...everyone deserves happiness but you deserve so much more. I might be a little biased on that, i admit. but you do.
your very existance makes my life better. when you wake up in the morning you are ready...locked and loaded with my gift..which is your smile. you amaze me, how someone, borne from two parents that hate mornings, who definitely are not morning people, but you LOVE the morning time.
at an early age, you were one who didnt give your love easily and freely. family and friends knew this so when you loved someone...they take it too heart. to have your love is a gift to not take lightly.

you have a funny sense of humor....you crack me up, sweetie...deep belly laughs....i get you like nobodies business and you KNOW that so you let her rip in the humor department
your sensitivity takes my breathe away. most times you say things out of the blue...well out of the blue for us but for you, its something that has been wieghing heavily on your mind and finally, you will decide to share it....you've amazed me with worrying about Jesus Christ on the cross...homeless people and if they have even ONE soft pillow)...kids that get picked on, you so worry if they know to just keep keeping on.....you even worry about why there doesnt seem to be a lot of old movie stars. to you, that just doesnt seem fair.
what people dont know about you...well...you love clothes! you are a total clothes horse. especially fabrics that feel 'good against your booty'. you drive me crazy talking about your swag and asking me 'how do i look????' I was not ready for THAT to happen...what happened to going out in a torn tee-shirt, knee socks and a pair of athletic shorts??? that's who I'm looking for to come out of your bedroom...

That's right! Our boys have the same birthday! Happy birthday to yours. What a handsome boy. Wow they grow up fast don't they? I guess that's when they start caring about how they look. Don't grow up too fast. I love the photos of you two together. Thanks for posting them:)
ohhhhhh happy 15! a note to your son~
your mothers love is deep for you. her wishes for you come from a place that is natural and true. she has placed only a fraction of the love she has for you here. she might agree with me, when i say~the most glorious poetry or book page, has only come close, to what a mother feels for her child.
enjoy your mornings, enjoy being 15, enjoy life. and always remember that nook, right beneath your mamas chin, against her heart, is there for you, always.
... ask me, i am a mama to a 15 year old son too.
Gods blessings, for a beautiful year ahead.
: )
Jakki,
People always say children are such a joy, but the sheer "volume" of joy is what you can't understand unless you've been loved back by the child you love so much.
Thanks everyone...he had a wonderful birthday weekend, or at least, by as much as I could tell. He went to a skating party on Friday ( lost his wallet with his birthday money in it VERY SAD FACE), Saturday he went to Kansas City with his dad, his brother and one of his cousin's and then Sunday, he spent the day in his PJ's and we bbq'd. Just us (his brother, his dad and me). We were sitting at the table, eating and he got this look on his face and I asked what was up and he said 'its been awhile since we've all ate together'. I think that was the best present for him....
now he's talking about practicing driving..help me!
