i was just telling Puna, on her blog, that i have not picked up my camera in a week. that's a lifetime in camera-speak. a lifetime.... i thought my not blogging was because of being sick but i'm really thinking its the mid-summer blues. it seems like after the 4th of July...summer just fizzles out with trying to squeeze in 'one more trip' here and 'getting ready for school' there moments. i dont know...i've just lost my 'umph'

*

i'm scared. my boredom and short temper is carrying over into the 9-5 (or really 7-3:30) and that just wont do. lately a few people have contacted me to take pictures at different events. willing to pay for gas or for my time. my supervisor even asked 'what was i doing working.' i have one camera. no lenses. hell, i struggle with getting the right settings in my inside shots. but i do love to capture emotions...but do this as a job...not ready for that

i'm a little behind every other human in the world but now i have seen most of the movie Twlight...i've tried to read the books and couldnt so i figured if i couldnt get into the books, i'm not going to like the movie. and i have had NO desire whatsover to watch any of the movies...my thoughts: they need a better diet because they are allllllll too pale in this movie... any who my sister sat me and my youngest down to watch it and we found ourselves liking it. we had to leave before the movie was over but driving down the road my son said 'hey...that movie wasnt half bad'... i chuckled and said 'no it wasnt was it?" shhhhhh dont tell anybody...

do you want to have a good laugh???? get a 40 year old woman trying to do Band Hero and laugh your butt off...we went over to my niece's house for dinner the other day. i was the singer and the boys alternated between guitar and drums. during my rendition of Do You Really Want to Hurt Me by Culture Club, i noticed the boys had these huge grins on their faces...after we finished (which I got a score of 98%) i asked them what was so funny..'ma...you was IN TO IT!!! you really got into that song!' ummm yeah...that was The Rock Group of the 80's...i am a 80's child thru and true

i've started scrapping again...i do most of my scrapping downstairs. i've tried to create my own little haven down there so all my stuff is there albeit VERY UNORGANIZED and one day, when i was trying to get some symblence of order, i realized i have a ton of stuff...stuff that i had no clue i had. soooo i'm back on my Freeze-out of buying new scrapping materials. using what i have for awhile so i can actually get it organized at the same time. and what am i scrapping, you might ask...Christmas of 2005...yeah...i'm that far behind but only in some things...

i am so feeling this song...i love BeBe and CeCe Winan's anyway but this song just speaks to me lately...

my mind is kind of in a fog lately. I've had strep, which is something I catch easily and have had it at least once a year since high school. usually i give into the tiredness and take a few days off but something got in my butt and i decided that I was Superwoman and went back to work after only being off for one day....
Not a good idea
And my body is telling me....not a good idea
I hate it when I want to do things, be about, enjoy life but my body....just doesnt have the same plans...urgh

4th of July weekend, Michael Jackson came to Missouri....well...not the real one of course. An impersonator.....from a distance he did look like Michael Jackson.....

but up close...zoomed in....not so much

he started out pretty good.....he actually singed...no lip-syncing here...considering its Missouri weather along the humid Missouri River...he did a pretty good job of the singing.

and even had a couple of Michaels...signature moves and dances down pat....

but after awhile you start to noticing that lyrics were just not coming out right....

and at one point he actually messed up a lyric and then said 'HEY! I"m sorry...I"m hot and hungry!' It was hot and I was hungry too so I forgave him.....

and everyone, young and old forgave him and just danced and didnt stop to we got enough to the Michael Jackson tribute.....

its all about the summer ya'll....summer skies...summer fun...summer laughter...this is the summer to lay back, relax my mind and figure out animal shapes in the clouds in the sky.
