Storms traveled through Missouri again yesterday...traveled and vacationed for a few moments I should say.
I'm tired of storms...
it hit in Kansas City first, about 11:30 am. Kansas City is about 2 hours from me. It is home to more than HALF of my family and what I am begining to think...the love of a lifetime...
God...that sounds crazy even to hear me say that so I'm going to leave that alone for a minute....
anywho...
storms then moved east towards Sedalia which is about 45-60 minutes from me....tornadoes touched down there and wrecked havoc...
during my noon hour, I frantically searched for family members and important loved one but cell phone towers where shut down, phones gave busy signals and phones went un-answered
which made me a very uncharacteristically frantic and afraid person
about 1...the PA system annouced we were to go to our designated inclement weather areas and so we did
and we did
and we did.
for 2 hours.
since we were on the 1st floor, i barely got service or connection but periodically I would get a text and a notification that I missed a call. I did get one text from my son Jalil that simply said 'love u'
is there a way to save text on our phones, like...forever???
its not that he doesnt say it...its just that it makes me feel REAL special that he thought of me at that time ( he was at school and they had them in their inclement weather places, too, so it was a stessfull day all around). Okoye, my oldest, said he wasnt worried because our city has too many hills for a tornado to strike....
in any case...
i say it AGAIN...
I am tired ...tiredddddddddddddd of storms.

I am so sick of storms too! Spent some time in the basement as well last night. Where's the sun?
So scary! I'm so glad you're ok, praying for those that lost so much.
Really and truly terrifying! Good that you're okay..and that you have images to prove it!
i was thinking of you when the storms hit there. i was sitting here today and i said i had to stop over and see how you are. thank goodness, you are all okay.

Hi Jakki,
Yikes, storm season is harsh. We don't get tornadoes in New England but we get our storms in winter!
so glad you and your boys are ok, 2 hours is a long wait - hopefully these crazy storms are over!
i can't imagine how scared you've been and how tired you are of this weather....hopefully with it being june now, all the weather messes are behind you !
Glad to hear that you are ok. Sounds so scary!
